Many of us in the Mix-Tape generation have a song or a lyric for moments, memories and milestones that connect events to the feeling those songs convey.
This is my personal accounting of how my mix tape is being curated nowadays. Welcome in.

About Me

The 70’s birthed me, the 80’s raised me, the 90’s shaped me but I have no fucking idea what happened after that. Adulting is weird and I’m always chasing the high of nostalgia that reminds me of the good times growing up as a GenXer. I am of the last generation to have little to no evidence of all the shit we did unless someone had a Polaroid or a disposable camera that needed to be sent in to get developed. My first portable music player was a Walkman, white with purple and pink accents, graduating to Pocket Rockers then to Discman. Yes, I did have a record player and yes, my mom had a healthy collection of 70’s and 80’s 8-tracks, and my grandfather was a pianist with a love of classical music. So needless to say, tastes were formed very young and very eclectic.
